WV Retirement Plus is a 457 deferred compensation plan that cities, counties and other political subdivisions can offer to their employees.
This Plan is similar to a 401k plan in structure except it is available only to public employees in West Virginia. To date, nearly 100 cities, counties and other entities have joined the Plan.
The Plan’s growth is a direct result of broadening our efforts to help all public employees prepare for retirement.
WV Retirement Plus is administered by State Treasurer John D. Perdue at no cost to public entities. The Plan is officially sponsored by the West Virginia Municipal League.
